Nestled in the charming countryside of Thaxted, the Farmhouse Inn offered a peaceful retreat for my family and me as we soaked up some rural beauty before jetting off from London Stansted. The cozy pub atmosphere was a hit, with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe, perfect for unwinding over a pint after a day of exploring. Our room, not the most modern but impeccably clean, provided all the essentials like a comfy bed and private bathroom - just what we needed for a restful night. Although the lack of a cooked breakfast was a bit of a letdown, we appreciated the thoughtful tray left at our door, a little touch that shows they care. With beautiful views overlooking Chelmer Valley and good on-site parking, it's easy to see why this place makes for an excellent choice, especially if you're looking to enjoy the area during the summer months.
